FAQProstacyl FAQ: 36 Common Questions Answered
By the Prostacyl Team at Getprostacyl · Medical review: Dr. Jason Hafron, MD · Revised
This page answers 36 Prostacyl questions in six groups, from the label to the refund.
The groups cover what is on the panel, how each amount compares with research, how to take the capsules and for how long, safety, pack prices and the 60-day guarantee.
For the cost of each pack, see the pricing page.
Six groups, answered from the printed label and the published literature rather than from the sales copy.
Prostacyl questions about the product and the panel
What is Prostacyl?
A two-capsule-a-day prostate and urinary support blend sold in bottles of 60, which is thirty servings and one month. The label calls it a “Precision Prostate Support Blend”. It is a dietary supplement rather than a medicine, and the three lines it claims are the ceiling on what anyone may tell you about it.
How many actives are in Prostacyl, and are the amounts printed?
9, and yes, every one. Two vitamins, six botanicals and one mineral, each with its own row and its own number. There is no proprietary blend on this panel, which is more disclosure than most of this category manages and is the reason these pages can be specific rather than vague.
What are the inactive ingredients?
Two: gelatin (capsule) and brown rice flour. The first is the capsule shell and the second is a filler. Nothing is added for sweetness, colour or flavour, so the whole of the label is either an active or one of those two lines.
Is Prostacyl vegetarian?
No. The shell is gelatin, which is made from animal collagen, so the product is unsuitable for a vegetarian or vegan diet. A vegetarian badge does ship on the pack and it contradicts the label; the testing and quality page deals with that conflict directly.
Why does the seller’s graphic show six ingredients?
Because the artwork and the panel disagree, and the panel is the document that counts. The ingredient graphic features 6; the Supplement Facts box prints 9. Nettle Extract (leaf), Boron, Lycopene 5% appear on the bottle and are absent from the graphic. This website publishes all nine.
Who makes Prostacyl?
The label names Nutrova, Tallmadge, OH 44278, as the distributor. This website is run by Getprostacyl, the USA Authorized Prostacyl Retailer, which is a retailer rather than the manufacturer. Product facts on these pages come from that printed label and from the seller’s own order paperwork.
Prostacyl questions about the amounts and the research
Is the saw palmetto in Prostacyl dosed correctly?
Yes, and that is the uncomfortable part. 300 mg sits alongside the 320 mg a day the trials standardised on, so nobody can accuse this label of skimping. The difficulty is the evidence: the 2023 Cochrane review pooled 27 studies in 4,656 men and rated the certainty high on a finding of little or no benefit for urinary symptoms.
Is 200 mg of pygeum too much?
It is above the researched amount rather than beyond a safety ceiling. The dosing trial found 100 mg a day effective, with 50 mg twice daily performing much the same, so this label is generous rather than short. Pygeum also has the most encouraging pooled result on the panel.
Does it matter that the nettle is leaf rather than root?
It does, and it is the fairest criticism of this formula. Every benign prostatic hyperplasia trial in the literature used nettle root, and the lignans behind the proposed mechanism were isolated from roots. Leaf and root are different plant parts with different chemistry.
Is 100 mg of pumpkin seed extract in Prostacyl enough?
The largest trial suggests not. GRANU ran for a year in 1,431 men and tested two forms: pumpkin seed extract at 1,000 mg a day, which did not differ from placebo, and whole seed at 10 g a day, which did. This panel carries a tenth of the extract dose that failed.
How much lycopene is actually in a serving?
Around half a milligram. The row reads “Lycopene 5%…10 mg”, and on the standard reading that is 10 mg of a five per cent preparation. The one BPH trial used 15 mg a day, and the FDA’s own evidence review found no credible support for a lycopene and prostate cancer claim.
Is 10 mg of boron a lot?
It is half a published ceiling from one product. The adult tolerable upper intake set by the Institute of Medicine is 20 mg a day. Typical diets supply a few milligrams, so the number to watch is the total: if you take anything else containing boron, add the two together before starting.
What is the grape seed extract doing on the panel?
Carrying a mechanism rather than a result. There is no human prostate trial of grape seed at all; the one BPH-specific study is a 2024 mouse experiment, and the VITAL cohort reported an observational association whose own authors said it should not yet be promoted for prevention.
Prostacyl questions about taking it and timing
How do I take Prostacyl?
As a dietary supplement, adults take two (2) capsules daily. For best results, take with 6-8 oz of water or as directed by a healthcare professional. The pair goes down at one sitting rather than split across morning and night, unless you have been told otherwise. Sixty capsules is thirty servings, which makes one bottle a month at the label dose.
With food or on an empty stomach?
The label asks for water rather than food, so either works. Two capsules on an empty stomach is the usual cause of the mild early discomfort some buyers describe, and taking them with a meal and the full glass the label asks for settles it for most people.
Morning or evening?
No evidence favours a particular hour, and nothing on this panel is a stimulant, so the hour matters less than the consistency. Pick a slot attached to something you already do daily; the commonest reason a two-month trial fails is that it was really a three-week trial with gaps.
What if I miss a day?
Carry on as normal the next day. The one instruction the label is explicit about is the ceiling: do not exceed the recommended dose, which rules out doubling up to make a missed day even. A single gap in a two-month run is not worth correcting.
How long before I can judge Prostacyl?
Give it a month before forming a view and two before deciding. The pooled pygeum trials ran about nine weeks on average, and the seller describes a usual wait of 3–6 weeks, so a 60-day window is long enough to run the experiment properly instead of guessing at three weeks.
How do I measure whether anything changed?
Count night-time trips for a week before you start and a week at the end. Nocturia is the one symptom that needs no equipment, urinary symptoms fluctuate on their own from week to week, and a number written down beats trying to remember how a month felt.
Prostacyl questions about safety and interactions
Is Prostacyl safe?
The amounts here are modest and the ingredients have been eaten and sold for decades. Three specifics are worth carrying: the boron total against a published ceiling, the bleeding cautions and how weak their evidence is, and the nettle blood-pressure question. The label’s own caution reads: “Do not exceed recommended dose. Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under the age of 18, and individuals with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement.”
Will Prostacyl affect a PSA test?
The evidence says no, despite how often the opposite is repeated. A pre-specified PSA analysis from the CAMUS trial tracked men taking up to 960 mg of saw palmetto a day and found their readings no different from placebo; NCCIH reaches the same conclusion. Finasteride does interfere. This does not appear to. Tell your clinician what you take regardless.
Can I take it with an anticoagulant?
Raise it with whoever prescribes it first, and know how thin the evidence behind the warning is. One case report sits behind the saw palmetto caution, while a formal safety assessment of the extract turned up no notable signal, and the vitamin E interaction reports begin around twelve times the amount on this label.
Does the nettle interact with blood pressure medicine?
Nettle’s reputation as a diuretic rests on work in rats, not on trials in people, so the size of any human effect is unknown rather than established. Anyone on a diuretic can raise it at the next appointment; it is a conversation rather than an alarm.
What side effects do buyers report?
Mild stomach discomfort in the first week is the one that recurs, and it usually belongs to two capsules taken on an empty stomach rather than to any particular ingredient. If it persists past the first week, stop and use the guarantee; that is what the window is for.
Who should not take Prostacyl?
Anyone under 18, anyone pregnant or nursing, and anyone on a vegetarian or vegan diet, since the shell is gelatin. Anyone already taking boron should add the two totals together first. And symptoms that are new, getting worse, or arriving with blood, fever or pain belong in an appointment; a capsule answers none of them.
Prostacyl questions about buying, packs and shipping
Where do I buy Prostacyl?
Here, through the checkout behind the order buttons. Getprostacyl holds the USA Authorized Prostacyl Retailer role, which is what ties the 60-day window to a purchase made on this website. Buy through a marketplace listing and you are covered by whatever that seller offers instead.
Can I buy a single bottle?
Yes, at $69 plus $19.99 shipping, which is unusual in this category and makes a first purchase a thirty-day decision rather than a ninety-day one. Three bottles run $177 with free US shipping, and six run $294, which is $49 a bottle.
Is shipping free?
Inside the United States, on the three and six-bottle packs. One bottle adds $19.99, so the honest way to compare the packs is to add that to the single before dividing anything. Whatever applies to your address is shown at the checkout before you pay.
Is it a subscription?
No. A pack is paid for once, and no card is billed again unless you place another order yourself. The struck figures printed beside each price are the seller’s own comparison prices rather than a price anyone paid recently.
Can I buy Prostacyl in a shop?
No, and there is no wholesale route either. That is inconvenient, and it is also the reason a guarantee here can be specific: the desk that sold the bottle is the desk that takes it back. A marketplace listing is a different seller with different terms.
Can I order over the telephone?
No. The order desk handles tracking, changes and refunds; it does not take payments, and neither email address does either. Every purchase goes through the checkout, which is also the only place card details are ever entered.
Prostacyl questions about refunds and this desk
What does the Prostacyl guarantee cover?
60 days from the date of purchase, on every pack, opened bottles included. It is a purchase policy rather than a medical promise, and it is roughly the length the trials behind these ingredients ran for, which is what makes it long enough to be useful.
How do I start a refund?
One telephone call to the order desk, before anything is posted, with the order ID to hand. The desk issues a return authorisation and tells you where to send the bottles. Everything else is packing: your details in the box, tracking on the parcel. All five steps sit in order on the refund policy page.
Who pays the return postage?
The buyer. Send it tracked and keep the number until the money appears, because the tracking is the only proof a parcel was sent and the clock does not start until the bottles arrive at the returns address.
How long does a refund take?
Two separate waits. Three to five business days for the desk to process it once the bottles are back, then five to ten more before a bank posts it to the card. The second wait belongs to your bank rather than to the desk, and nobody here can shorten it.
Can I email the website address to ask for a refund?
You can, and it will cost you a day. That address reaches the people who write these pages; it has no view of the checkout and cannot move money. Refunds belong with the order desk, by telephone or by the order email listed in the footer, with the order ID in the subject.
