Prostacyl Ingredients List and Supplement Facts, Row by Row
Quick answer. The Prostacyl ingredients are nine actives, each with a printed amount per two capsules: saw palmetto 300 mg, pygeum 200 mg, grape seed 100 mg, pumpkin seed 100 mg, nettle leaf 50 mg, boron 10 mg, lycopene 5% 10 mg, vitamin E 25 mg and vitamin B6 13.8 mg. There is no proprietary blend. The capsule shell is gelatin, so it is not vegetarian, and there are no drops or gummies.

Every amount is printed, so every amount can be checked
No proprietary blend. That is the reason this page can set each row beside its research instead of guessing.

What does the Prostacyl supplement facts panel print?
| Row as printed | Per two capsules | % Daily Value |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin E (as dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate) | 25 mg | 167% |
| Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine hydrochloride) | 13.8 mg | 812% |
| Saw Palmetto Extract (Serenoa repens) (fruit) | 300 mg | † |
| Pygeum africanum Extract (bark), std. to 3% phytosterols | 200 mg | † |
| Grape Seed Extract (Vitis vinifera) (seed) | 100 mg | † |
| Pumpkin Seed Extract (Cucurbita moschata) (seed) | 100 mg | † |
| Nettle Extract (leaf) | 50 mg | † |
| Boron (as boron amino acid chelate) | 10 mg | † |
| Lycopene 5% (Lycopersicum esculentum) (tomato) | 10 mg | † |
Dagger: no Daily Value established. Other ingredients: Gelatin (capsule), Brown Rice Flour.
Two vitamins, six botanicals and one mineral. The seller’s own marketing graphic shows six names; the panel prints nine. This site goes by the panel, because the panel is the regulated part of the pack.
How does each Prostacyl ingredient compare with its research?
| Ingredient | On the label | In the published research |
|---|---|---|
| Saw palmetto (fruit) | 300 mg | 320 mg a day in trials. The 2023 Cochrane review found little or no benefit at high certainty |
| Pygeum (bark) | 200 mg | 100 mg a day; 50 mg twice daily and 100 mg once daily performed alike. Above the trial amount |
| Grape seed | 100 mg | No human prostate trial. The BPH work is a mouse study |
| Pumpkin seed extract | 100 mg | 1,000 mg a day of extract did not beat placebo. Only 10 g a day of whole seed did |
| Nettle (leaf) | 50 mg | The trials used root at far higher amounts. Different plant part |
| Boron | 10 mg | No requirement. Adult upper intake is 20 mg a day, so this is half |
| Lycopene 5% | 10 mg | About 0.5 mg of lycopene. The one BPH pilot used 15 mg a day |
| Vitamin E | 25 mg | SELECT at 400 IU found a significant rise in prostate cancer risk |
| Vitamin B6 | 13.8 mg | No prostate evidence. About a seventh of the 100 mg adult upper intake |
Each study linked on this site tested one ingredient at its own dose, not the finished capsule.
The short version: pygeum is dosed above its trial amount and is the label’s best decision. Saw palmetto is dosed correctly, and the best evidence says it does little. Pumpkin seed is the form that failed, at a tenth of the failed dose. Nettle is the wrong plant part. Grape seed has no human prostate evidence.
Is Prostacyl a capsule, a pill, drops or gummies?
A capsule, and only a capsule. Two gelatin capsules a day, 60 to a bottle. There are no Prostacyl drops, no Prostacyl gummies and no tablet. A listing that offers any of those under this name is describing something this label does not.
The shell matters for two groups. It is gelatin, which is animal-derived, so it is not suitable for a vegetarian or vegan diet. The pack carries a vegetarian badge that contradicts this line; the label governs, and the label says gelatin. And two gelatin capsules at once is a mouthful, which is why the label asks for 6 to 8 oz of water.
What do the percentages inside two of the rows mean?
Pygeum reads standardised to 3% phytosterols. That is a guarantee about what the 200 mg of extract contains. The 200 mg is a weight of extract and lines up with the trial weights.
Lycopene reads 5%. That is the strength of the preparation. Ten milligrams of a 5% material is about 0.5 mg of lycopene. The one trial of lycopene in urinary symptoms used 15 mg a day, so this row is small.
Same panel, two percentages, two different jobs. Reading them as the same kind of number is the commonest mistake made with a supplement facts table.
Which rows on the Prostacyl label carry a safety note?
- Boron, 10 mg. Half the 20 mg adult upper intake. Add any other boron product you take.
- Vitamin B6, 13.8 mg. About a seventh of the 100 mg adult upper intake. Check a multivitamin.
- Vitamin E, 25 mg. Far below the 400 IU used in SELECT and below where the anticoagulant interaction literature begins, around 300 mg. Tell a prescriber anyway if you take a blood thinner.
- Saw palmetto, 300 mg. A theoretical bleeding caution from case reports. Does not appear to affect a PSA test, per the CAMUS analysis at 960 mg a day.
- Nettle leaf, 50 mg. A diuretic reputation from animal work. Mention it if you take a diuretic or a blood pressure medicine.
Supports healthy prostate size, promotes healthy urinary flow, supports energy and male vitality. Those are structure and function statements. Prostacyl is not FDA approved, no supplement is, and it does not treat or shrink an enlarged prostate.

Frequently asked questions
What are the Prostacyl ingredients?
Nine actives per two capsules: saw palmetto 300 mg, pygeum 200 mg, grape seed 100 mg, pumpkin seed 100 mg, nettle leaf 50 mg, boron 10 mg, lycopene 5% 10 mg, vitamin E 25 mg and vitamin B6 13.8 mg. Other ingredients are gelatin and brown rice flour.
Does Prostacyl contain nettle root?
No. The label prints nettle extract (leaf) at 50 mg. The prostate trials used nettle root, a different plant part with different chemistry.
Is Prostacyl a proprietary blend?
No. Every one of the nine actives has its own printed amount. Nothing is hidden behind a blend total.
Are there Prostacyl drops or gummies?
No. Prostacyl is a gelatin capsule, two a day, 60 to a bottle. No drops, gummies or tablets exist under this label.
Is Prostacyl vegetarian?
No. The capsule shell is gelatin, which is animal-derived. The vegetarian badge on the pack contradicts the label, and the label governs.
Is the lycopene in Prostacyl a useful amount?
Ten milligrams of a 5% preparation is about half a milligram of lycopene. The one BPH trial used 15 mg a day, so this row is small. The FDA has declined a lycopene and prostate cancer claim.
Our view
This is an honest label. It prints all nine amounts, names the plant parts and the forms, and uses no blend line. That is rare, and it is what lets a reader check it.
The checking does not flatter every row. Pygeum is the strong decision; nettle, pumpkin seed and grape seed are weak; lycopene is small. A buyer should weigh the panel as nine rows, not as one promise.
Not published: a laboratory certificate for the lot, the concentration of the saw palmetto extract, and any trial of the finished formula.
